Welcome
Our organisation is a small community based support group which seeks to provide improved mental health services to our community. Our aim is to provide consumers and carers with information which confirm consumer rights and provide support and friendship during times of stressful family situations.
It is often a family member or carer who becomes concerned about someone with a mental health condition and frequently finds it difficult to find services and information.
We may not have all the answers but we have an enormous amount of combined personal experience in a wide range of mental health issues.
» Our Goals
Our goals are to provide initial and ongoing support for carers of those with mental health conditions, including those with drug and alcohol problems. Currently we provide outreach via awareness programs, e.g. Mental Health Week display.
» Our Campaigns
We have plans in progress for resource and recovery premises to provide social contact for consumers, following on to collaboration with Job Network, Commonwealth Rehabilitation Service, etc. for training and eventually open employment. We run continuing awareness projects, including speaking functions with other community groups.
